Children's Mural Program, Bayview Opera House, San Francisco, CA

The Children's Mural Program provides instruction in visual art techniques as the basis of an environmental science curriculum exploring issues of concern to the community, including the history, clean-up, and reuse of Hunters Point Shipyard. The program is presented in five elementary schools in the Bayview/ Hunters Point community.

As a part of the program, I assisted the head teacher in the instruction of basic painting techniques to 3rd - 5th graders. I also assisted students in the creation of several 8’ x 5’ mural panels.
