Artist in Residence K - 8th grade 2004
San Francisco Day School, San Francisco, CA

Another project implemented during my residency as Artist of the Month involved finger knitting and dragons tails. These are both simple techniques involving only yarn and a childs fingers. Both of these techniques serve as wonderful training for young fingers, for the more involved process of knitting. Every student, kindergarten through eighth grade, created a strand of finger knitting which ended in a pom pom. All four hundred were then displayed, in mass, in the lobby of the school, creating a collaborative installation.
